Highlights from India's 5th T20 match vs South Africa: After the deciding fifth and final match in Bengaluru was called out owing to rain, India and South Africa shared the Twenty20 International series. The visiting team won the first two matches but India came back to tie the series at 2-2, forcing the series to a Sunday final. Rain kept the players off the field at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium just as play was scheduled to begin, and South African fast bowler Lungi Ngidi removed the hosts' opening batters to reduce India to 28-2 following the resumption. With only 3.3 overs bowled, it began to rain again, and no further play was possible.

With a couple of slower deliveries, Lungi Ngidi took the wickets of Ishan Kishan and Ruturaj Gaikwad.
Kishan smashed two sixes off Kehsav Maharaj's first over, but was undone by Ngidi's loopy slower delivery, which he committed to early and played all over.
Gaikwad also failed to pick up a slower delivery and was holed out in the middle of the game before the rains came down again to put an end to the series decider.
Following the washout, the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) announced that 50% of ticket money will be refunded to spectators.
