PM Modi to Inaugurate the state-of-art Bundelkhand Expressway in UP's Jalaun
Bundelkhand Expressway news: On February 29, 2020, Prime Minister Modi set the foundation for the four-lane expressway that would link Chitrakoot with the Lucknow-Agra Expressway.

According to officials, the Modi government has given connectivity and infrastructure a lot of attention. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways received the highest budgetary allocation ever in the budget year 2022–23, totaling Rs 1.99 lakh crore. When compared to the approximate Rs. 30,300 crore allocation in 2013–14, this represents an increase of more than 550%.
Since April 2014, the length of the nation's National Highways has increased by more than 50%, from 91,287 km to over 1,41,000 km (as on December 31, 2021).
PM Modi laid the Bundelkhand Expressway's foundation:
On February 29, 2020, Prime Minister Modi laid the cornerstone for the four-lane expressway that would link Chitrakoot to the Lucknow-Agra Expressway. It took about 28 months to finish the project.
PM Modi tweeted:-"Tomorrow, 16th July is a special day for my sisters and brothers of the Bundelkhand region. At a programme in Jalaun district, the Bundelkhand Expressway will be inaugurated. This project will boost the local economy and connectivity. "
Today he said:"The state-of-the-art Bundelkhand Expressway passes through 7 districts. The local economy will benefit tremendously due to it. There will be great industrial development in the region and this would bring more opportunities for the local youth."
Bundelkhand Expressway's attributes and price:
Under the direction of the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA), the 296 km, four-lane expressway was built at a cost of about Rs 14,850 crore. It can subsequently be upgraded up to six lanes.
The Bundelkhand Expressway will significantly improve economic development in addition to enhancing regional connectivity. In the Banda and Jalaun areas, next to the expressway, construction has already begun on an industrial corridor.
Extensive preparations are currently being made for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's arrival to officially open the Bundelkhand Expressway, and a security perimeter of almost five kilometres has been established around the event.
According to a released official statement, "the government has been committed to improving connectivity across the country, a fundamental component of which has been the work towards development in road infrastructure."

Beneficial locations for the Bundelkhand Expressway include:
It travels through seven districts—Chitrakoot, Banda, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Jalaun, Auraiya, and Etawah—from National Highway (NH)-35 at Gonda village near Bharatkoop in Chitrakoot district to near Kudrail village in Etawah district, where it merges with the Agra-Lucknow expressway.

The administration has asked all security personnel to remain stationed at their respective points of deployment in light of the PM's programme, according to Jalaun SP Ravi Kumar, who stated that in order to ensure proper security during the PM's programme, a five-kilometer area of the venue has been taken in the security cordon.
The Mahoba fort, the Jagmanpur fort of Jalaun, and the defence corridor have all been displayed in an art exhibition that is currently being built. In addition to the RAF (Rapid Action Force) and PAC (Provincial Armed Constabulary), he said that police officers had been stationed there.
A thorough inspection campaign is being carried out in all the hotels and eateries in Orai, the district's administrative centre. The bomb-disposal team has also set its camp.
Roadway buses have been made available at the municipal and nagar panchayat offices of the district to assist those who are the recipients of various government programmes in getting to the location of the public meeting.
In addition to this, buses will be available at the village and development block levels to transport the recipients from the countryside to the meeting spot, according to the SP.
The event would feature artistic performances by Bundeli artists from Bundelkhand.
